Who We Are

The Autism Society of Quad cities is a chapter of the Autism society of America. We serve Scott, Muscatine, and Clinton Counties in Iowa, and Rock Island and Henry Counties in Illionis.

MiSSION: We create connections, empowering everyone in the Autism community with the resources needed to live fully.

Education

Autism Society of the Quad Cities collaborates with other service providers to make the best possible use of resources in order to serve persons with autism and their caregivers. ASQC works to promote greater public awareness of autism and its effects through participation in community awareness events and educational workshops.

Grants

Autism Society of the Quad Cities makes grants to organizations that assist persons with autism and their caregivers. To request an application, send an e-mail request to autismqc@gmail.com. ASQC does not make grants to individuals.

Friendship Island

This group is for adolescents with autism spectrum disorder who are ages 12-18. Friendship Island hangouts are supervised by college student volunteers who will provide a fun, safe, and engaging environment to help participants form and facilitate strong and lasting friendships. Interested participants may register on site. There is no charge to participate. Contact Dr. Stacie M. Greene, staciegreene@augustana.edu.

Young Adult Support Group

Social support group for young adults with autism. It is called the YES! Support Group (Young, Exuberant, Spectrumites). It meets the first Friday of each month at 6:30 p.m. with locations changing depending on the activity. There is no charge to attend.

Autism Moms' Support Group

Autism Support Group for Moms will be meeting the last Thursday of each month 6:30-7:30pm at the Royal Ball office, 331 4th Street West, Milan, IL 61264. Not necessarily an educational meeting or specific topics but the purpose of meetings being more "Emotional support, resource referrals and autism connections." Whether your family is new to the autism journey or interested in just chatting with other Moms that "Get it" Message Anne Holtan or Tammy Kerno with any questions and check out the ASQC Facebook page.
